Creating the #plystool was an exciting challenge for me to bring my design ideas to life and work with wood and CNC cutting technology.

The #plystool is crafted from 15 mm birch plywood. The legs intersect in a hashtag shape, creating a unique feature. The stool is cut from a single sheet of plywood and is optimized to utilize the full surface of a 1220x2440 mm sheet. Using a CNC router the silhouette and joint interface are cut, ensuring a precise and clean fit.

One of the most interesting aspects of the #plystool is that it can be assembled without the use of glue, due to the shear forces created in the joints. This not only makes the assembly process interesting but also adds an element of ingenuity to the final product.'

From one single 1220 x 2440 x 15 mm plywood sheet I was able to make 6 chairs, since one chair fints within 400 x 1200 mm as seen below.
